When the company had six customers and six different versions of the source code, they asked me to come in and "fix" the problem. I analyzed the current six systems, and proposed creating a new system to support, not only the peculiarities of the six current customers, but by mixing and matching the individual pieces of these peculiarities many more customers could potentially be supported with no additional work. The proposal was accepted, designed and developed, the company eventually grew to have over 120 customers, none requiring custom code, all with a unique combination of features "activated". The resulting Pharmacy Management System, included modules for: Prescription Fulfillment and Tracking, Patient Histories, Accounts Receivables, Regulatory Reporting, 3rd Party Billing, and Internal Management Reports.
The environment consisted of: CBasic and Assembly.
